Legendary Richards High School football coach Gary Korhonen passed away on December 2, 2017 at the age of 77.
Korhonen retired in 2007 as the winningest football coach in state history with 306 victories.
Korhonen led the Bulldogs to IHSA state championships in 1988 (Class 4A) and 1989 (4A). He took the squad back to the state title game in 2001 (6A), where they placed second
