Legendary Baseball Coach Dave Swisegood Makes Appearance at IHSA State Baseball

The all-time winningest baseball coach in IHSA history, Dave Swisegood, made a special appearance at the 2017 IHSA Baseball State Finals, as the retired coach presented the umpires with the official game balls prior to the Class 1A State Championship game on Saturday, June 3, 2017.

Swisegood concluded his career in 2015 at Southeastern High School in Augusta, finishing with 950 victories over the course of 60 seasons. Swisegood’s IHSA coaching career began at Plymouth High School in 1955.
