The Morton Potters girls’ basketball team has enjoyed an amazing two-year run, having captured the past two IHSA Class 3A state championships.

A repeat effort seemed unlikely a year ago when the Potters lost All-State guard Chandler Ryan to a season-ending injury in November, but the team persevered and eventually claimed its second straight crown.

NBA superstar LeBron James and Nike took notice of Morton’s story and the entire team received a pair of James’ new Nike shoes as a part of its Come Out Of Nowhere campaign in November 2016.
