At the age of 81 years old, Ken Palmer is the oldest active IHSA official during the 2019-20 school year. The Dongola native completed his 60th year of officiating basketball in the winter of 2020, and would have notched his 60th year in baseball as well, had COVID not delayed the start of the season. He has also worked softball for nearly two decades.
