The goal of every high school boys basketball team in Illinois is to reach America’s Original March Madness, the IHSA State Finals in Champaign-Urbana.
The OSF HealthCare Mission is to serve persons with the greatest care and love. OSF HealthCare has a presence in communities throughout Illinois, so they know that the road to high school hoops success in March is built upon the conference and local rivalries that unfold in the weeks and months ahead of the state tourney.
The IHSA Road To March Madness Rivalry Series Presented By OSF HealthCare will recognize some of the top rivalry games in Central Illinois in January and February leading into the IHSA State Series when Regional play begins on February 23.
“We are very pleased to partner with OSF HealthCare, who is so deeply devoted to Illinois communities, to highlight these games that mean so much,” said IHSA Executive Director Craig Anderson. “High school basketball teams have their mettle tested during these rivalry contests. It isn’t uncommon for a team to lose to a rival in January and avenge that loss in the IHSA Regional or Sectional. Win or lose, these rivalry games prepare for them America’s Original March Madness.”
The 2022 IHSA Boys Basketball State Finals will unfold on March 10-12 at the State Farm Center on the University of Illinois campus in Champaign-Urbana.

- January 28: Normal Community at Normal West (Soph. @ 6 PM// Varsity at 7:30 PM)
- February 8: Champaign Central at Champaign Centennial (Soph. @ 6 PM // Varsity @ 7:30 PM)
- February 12th: Normal UHIGH at Bloomington Central Catholic (JV @ 5:30 PM // Varsity @ 7 PM)
