Over 3,000 girls’ soccer players representing 80 different IHSA high school programs contributed to a massive donation of books in early April.
The books were collected in Schaumburg and then delivered to Chicago Public Schools elementary schools.
Participating high schools included Lockport, Oswego East, Shepard, Lakes, UNO, Reavis, Crete-Monee, Young, Riverside-Brookfield, Jacobs, Downers North, St. Charles North, Glenbard West, Minooka, Lane, Huntley, Lincoln-Way West, Elgin, Maine West, Tinley Park, East Aurora, Washington, Dundee-Crown, Plainfield South, Manteno, Waukegan, Lincoln-Way East, Evanston, Wheaton South, Warren, Deerfield, Nazareth, West Aurora, Crystal Lake Central, Solorio, Bloom, Mother McAuley, Bolingbrook, Romeoville, Niles West, Libertyville, Metea Valley, Wheaton Academy, York, Stagg, Andrew, Parker, Leyden, Latin, Glenbard South, Beecher, Lake Park, Crystal Lake South, Carmel, Lake Forest, Glenbard East, Marist, South Elgin, Thornwood, Northside Prep, Highland Park, Saint Viator, Resurrection, Plainfield Central, Hinsdale South, Lyons, Plainfield North, Maine South, Jones, Kaneland, Back of the Yards, Regina, Oak Forest, Morton, Fenwick and Wheaton North.
The event was a part of the Making A Difference On AND Off The Field campaign presented by Buddy’s HELPERS and the PepsiCo Showdown.
