Matt Schuckman's first byline in the Gem City came as a student at Quincy High School, and nearly 30 years later he is still shining a light on the top prep sports stories in and around Quincy.

Matt was honored with the IHSA Distinguished Media Service Award on Saturday, December 16, 2023, when Notre Dame High School in Quincy hosted his alma mater in boys basketball.

Surrounded by family, friends, colleagues, and school personnel from both schools, Matt was honored prior to tip off.
