Greenville High School senior quarterback Tyler Hutchinson closed his high school career in a 68-43 shootout loss in the first round of the 2014 IHSA Class 4A Football Playoffs. Tyler put up stellar numbers that day, as the 6-5, 210-pound righty threw for 452 yards and five touchdowns on 34-of-67 passing. Those eye-popping numbers were par for the course for Tyler during his 37 career starts, as he rewrote the state record book while playing for his father, Greenville head coach Todd Hutchinson.
Tyler leaves Illinois high school football as the IHSA career leader in passing yards (10,894) and completions (727), while also tying Jordan Roberts’ (Aurora Christian) career mark for touchdown passes with 127.
