Shauna Becker was in attendance at the Fox Valley Conference Cross Country Championship Meet on Saturday, October 15, 2016, to cheer on her brother, Crystal Lake South junior Jack Becker.

She ended up capturing a picture that encompasses the very essence of sportsmanship and selflessness. Becker’s tweet below shows Crystal Lake Central’s Cole Barkocy helping Jack after his legs began to give way on a hill near the end of the course.

Barkocy was in the lead when he stopped to help his friend and eventually finished fifth.
