The Chicago Cubs World Championship Trophy Tour was a part of America’s Original March Madness on Thursday, as the trophy made an appearance at the Peoria Civic Center in the afternoon while Class 1A & Class 2A Boys Basketball State Final qualifiers were in the midst of their shootarounds and media day activities.
The Tour then shifted to Sterling for an evening fan photo session, but as the caravan made its way north on Route 40, Cubs personnel chose to make a brief pitstop at Bureau Valley High School, where they summoned the Storm baseball team to take a picture with the MLB’s Commissioner's Trophy.
