BVM Sports presents its list of the top 10 football players in the Class of 2025 within the state:
Illinois continues to produce a vast amount of football talent at the high school level and that will again be the case in 2024 as some of the nation’s top prospects will take the field across the Prairie State.
While Illinois has skilled players at each grade level, the state’s senior class is hard to match and contains some elite talent including multiple four-star recruits and several SEC and Big Ten commits. The wide array of talent on both sides of the ball should make for an exciting season in Illinois as several seniors aim to end their careers on a high note.
Here are the top 10 Illinois high school football players in the Class of 2025.
10. Bradyen Trimble, WR, Mt. Zion
Trimble has proven capable of doing a little bit of everything at Mt. Zion as a skilled all-around athlete with terrific speed. The 6-foot-2, 170-pound three-star recruit has played receiver and defensive back for the Braves and has also excelled as a kick returner. Trimble is at his best out wide though as he posted a 1,100-yard season as a sophomore before again putting up strong numbers in 2023 as he made 69 receptions for 981 yards and 12 touchdowns. Trimble also added 178 rushing yards and two additional scores on the ground. The talented two-time all-state senior will be one of the top wideouts to watch in the Prairie State this fall. Then, Trimble will become one of several in-state seniors staying home with Illinois, pledging to the Fighting Illini over a host of other Big Ten and SEC schools.
