Best Version Media (BVM) Sports presents its list of the Top IHSA boys basketball players in the class of 2024:

For many years, the state of Illinois has been known as a hotbed for high school basketball talent. Whether it be Isiah Thomas, Dwyane Wade, Derrick Rose or Anthony Davis, the Prairie State seems to produce an elite prospect year after year that goes on to find stardom.

This season, Illinois could very well produce a superstar once again, as plenty of talent is set to take the floor in 2023-24. That is particularly true in an impressive senior class, one that includes several top-100 prospects nationally, and some other truly elite scorers and playmakers.

Here are the top 10 Illinois boys high school basketball players in the Class of 2024.

10. Jaden Smith, C, Kenwood Academy
Kenwood Academy is set for another strong season thanks to having multiple players worthy of a spot on this list, one of which is Smith. The 6-foot-11 center’s numbers certainly won’t jump off the page compared to others in the top 10, as he averaged just under six points, 5.5 rebounds and 2.2 blocks for the Broncos last year. However, his size and agility give him elite potential on both ends of the floor, which has been seen both at Kenwood Academy and during his time playing with Mac Irvin Fire. In late October, the three-star big man committed to play for Bobby Hurley at Arizona State, and is an intriguing prospect for the Sun Devils who should only get better in his senior season.
