2018-19 IHSA Distinguished Media Service Award – Chris Duerr

Quincy’s KHQA TV Sports Director Chris Duerr was honored with his IHSA Distinguished Media Service Award on Saturday, February 2, 2019, at Notre Dame High School in Quincy. The presentation followed a contest featuring West Hancock coop, who nominated Chris for the honor and whose administration from Warsaw High School presented him with his plaque as he was surrounded by family, friends and co-workers.

The game was part of the KHQA Shootout, one of Duerr’s many achievements during his 20-plus year career at KHQA where he has become renowned for his tireless work ethic on the preps beat.
