On Friday, March 11, 2016 inside the Peoria Civic Center’s Carver Arena, Rockridge High School’s Carson Frakes hit one of the most incredible shots in the history of the IHSA Boys Basketball State Tournament.
CSN CHICAGO BROADCAST (PXP Dave Bernhard & analyst Mark Lindo on the call):
The shot was the #3 play on that evening’s addition of ESPN’s
SportsCenter, and received national coverage from top sports sites like
USA Today and
Deadspin:
Perhaps no call was as fun as the hometown radio on WRMJ in Aledo (102.3 FM), where PxP man Jim Taylor and analyst Darren Bizarri (whose son Peyton is on the team) watched the play unfold from behind as they made their call from the north baseline.

Two IHSA staff members also caught the play on their cell phones from different ends of the scorer's table. To see those videos,
