IHSA LICENSING REQUIREMENTS
Obtaining a New IHSA Officiating License
To acquire an IHSA Officials License, prospective officials must:
1. be at least seventeen (17) years of age;
2. properly complete an IHSA application online;
3. pay the required $70 fee online (additional $10 processing fee if not paid
online);
4. submit the current rules examination online by the deadline and obtain at least
an 80% score (Note: If you do not score 80% on your exam, you will be
allowed to retake the exam for a $15 fee).;
5. Pass the online concussion exam with an 80% or higher;
6. view the online rules interpretation video by the deadline;
7. not have been convicted of a sexual offense, a crime against a minor, or a
crime involving illegal drugs; and
8. be in compliance with the IHSA conviction policy.
Application fees are non-refundable.

Maintaining an Active Officiating License
