Page 8 Illinois High School Association 2024-25 Cross Country State Final2024-25 CROSS COUNTRYHONORARY REFEREEHonorary RefereePeoria High business teacher Brad Zevnik is the 2024 State Cross Country Honorary Referee. Zevnik has supported State Meet for 18 years. Brad has had many roles at Detweiller Park since he started in 2007, but each year he assists in getting the lead and trail vehicles to the park and back to Green Chevrolet. Brad started as an assistant in the concession stand and moved to a timer on the course. In 2019, Brad inherited the microphone from the legendary Jay McCormick and became the voice of State Cros Country State Finals. Brad lives in Peoria with his wife Shari and they are the proud parents of Drake graduate Matt and Iowa State student, Rachel Zevnik.
