Illinois Volleyball Teams Dig Pink, Raise Over $15K For Cancer Research

Through the IHSA’s partnership with Susan G. Komen For The Cure, IHSA girls’ volleyball programs have raised more than $1.5 million dollars for cancer research via its annual Volley For The Cure matches.

Other similar initiatives (read Super Addison's story here) have emerged throughout the years, including The Side-Out Foundation’s Dig Pink®.

In 2016, Illinois high school volleyball teams raised money through the Dig Pink® initiative, totaling $15,056 for The Side-Out Foundation, a non-profit organization that raises money for stage IV breast cancer research through the sport of volleyball.

Metea Valley led the way in Illinois, raising an amazing $7,465 dollars!
