The IHSA launched its comprehensive video portal, www.IHSA.tv in the fall of 2009. Since its launch, IHSA.tv has expanded to offer live coverage of nearly every IHSA sport state final as well as select activities, while drawing over a million visitors to the site each school year.
The IHSA Network and its partner, PlayON! Sports, are excited to offer the IHSA School Broadcast Program. The IHSA School Broadcast Program provides member schools with the software and resources needed to produce TV-like events such as sports, graduation, school newscasts, guest speakers and award ceremonies for broadcast over the Internet. Participating schools receive custom, school-branded websites to manage live and archived broadcasts. Each participating school controls 100 percent of the content and advertising on their web pages and can sell banner advertising and elements within the productions to create revenue for their schools.
A school can start simple with a camera and a laptop or integrate the platform with existing equipment for more advanced productions.
