NFHS Corporate Partner, Team IP, launched a campaign centered around a special "Texas Strong" t-shirt to help raise funds for its member schools in “HISD” (Houston Independent School District) dealing with the devastation of Hurricane Harvey. As the official Souvenir Merchandise Sponsor of the UIL, Team IP has donated hundreds of these shirts already to kick off the campaign for volunteers requested by the HISD.
All proceeds ($10 per shirt) will go directly to HISD and be distributed to member schools and their communities affected by the storm. The goal is to make sure any money raised goes to “HISD” Houston Independent School District.
HOW TO ORDER
Bulk orders (24 or more shirts) are the best way to make your dollars go to those in need. Cost is $15 per t-shirt (minimum order would be $360) and $10 per shirt will go to the HISD relieve effort. Deadline to order for scheduled press dates are Friday, September the 8th or Friday the 15th. There are 3 easy ways to place your order: (1) Visit http://www.teamip.com/UIL (2) Call Team IP directly to submit an order at 1-877-821-8643 (toll free)/ 772-398-4664 or (3) Email bkirby@teamip.com.
#UILCares
Once you receive your t-shirts, we want to encourage you to continue the campaign on your campus. Here are some suggestions:
1. Outfit your teams and staff with the "Texas Strong - #UILCares" shirts as they do other acts for Hurricane Harvey relief. Share your efforts on your social media platforms and use the #UILCares hashtag.
2. Purchase an extra amount of shirts and sell them on your campus. Then send the additional money to the HISD special fund or any other Hurricane Harvey aid campaign.
3. Send any press releases regarding Hurricane Harvey aid relief efforts being done by your athletic programs to media@UIL.org.
4. Individual t-shirt orders can also be made online for $25, plus S&H. Encourage your fans to purchase by using the image below in newsletters, social media, website, etc., and direct them to http://www.teamip.com/UIL.
