The Illinois High School Association (IHSA) Board of Directors met at its regularly scheduled meeting at the IHSA office in Bloomington on Wednesday, January 10, 2018. The Board had no action items, but a recap of the meeting appeals and discussion items are provided below.
APPEALS & HEARINGS
The Board approved a two-year extension of the Football Cooperative agreement between Murphysboro and Elkville (Elverado). The two schools had previously Cooped for football, but Murphysboro’s move from Class 2A to Class 3A basketball put the Coop in conflict with the IHSA Coop By-law 2.030-B. The Board’s extension requires that the schools be in compliance with all Coop By-laws should they seek to extend the Coop beyond 2019.
