On Monday, August 25, the IHSA Board of Directors approved a partnership between the IHSA and
Maxpreps.com, as they partner in the collection of IHSA football schedules and scores during the regular-season and playoffs.
The IHSA encourages fans to report regular-season football scores by finding their teams' schedule on the
MaxPreps website.
“We look forward to utilizing
MaxPreps’ technological expertise, along with the relationships they already have with many of our schools, to help increase the accuracy and speed in which we collect football scores,” said IHSA Executive Director Marty Hickman following the meeting. “This remains a vital process in football, which is the lone IHSA sport that requires postseason qualification. One of the requests that we often receive is tracking regular-season scores, schedules, rosters and stats for other sports as well. We hope our partnership encourages other sports to take advantage of MaxPreps’ free services to help promote their programs and the accomplishments of their student-athletes.”

The Illinois High School Association (IHSA) and
MaxPreps, the online high school sports leader, have announced a partnership agreement that will enable the IHSA to provide a customized sports information platform for its member schools.
MaxPreps and the IHSA will offer a publishing platform across desktop, tablet and mobile that will streamline the process of managing sports information from hundreds of member schools and several thousand contests each month.
The partnership enables all box score information published on
MaxPreps.com to be automatically provided to the IHSA for use in managing various initiatives including game results, regular season standings, IHSA records, roster information, and football post-season qualifications. All coaches will have the ability to submit box scores to
MaxPreps.com in order to accurately manage these IHSA data-driven initiatives.
