The finalists of the tenth annual IHSA Student Section and Spirit Showdown were recognized at the 2024 IHSA Girls Basketball State Finals at CEFCU Arena on Saturday, March 2, 2024. Representatives from the final four schools in each class were invited to attend, with the winning school in each class announced at halftime of the 2A championship game.
Marquette Catholic High School in Alton won its second Student Section and Spirit Showdown title in Class 1A/2A, while Riverside-Brookfield High School captured its first-ever state championship in Class 3A/4A. Both schools were presented with a banner by members of the IHSA Student Advisory Committee. Finalists in Class 1A/2A also included Bunker Hill, Nashville, and Oakwood.
