Winning Coach Joann Holverson:
Stevenson is a very good team. We got a slow start in the first game, but I was proud of how our girls brought it together. This is one of the first matches in awhile that we have won in two games. I was excited about that. This team adjusts well to what they see on the other side of the net.
Player Kathy Sulkowski: We have really come together as a team lately. We just want to keep coming out and accomplishing our goals.
Player Katie Goelitz: The atmosphere was a little intimidating at first. Once we got into a rhythm we started to gel and I knew we were going to be ok.
Losing Coach Lindsey Celba:
We weren’t playing as aggressive as we usually do. We did a great job serving and passing, but our attacks just weren’t there. It just wasn’t our night tonight. We have been in tight games before and we usually come out on top. We stayed close, but we just couldn’t pull it out tonight.
Player Meghan Stanton: Their outside hitters were really strong and they placed the ball really well. Our defense just wasn’t able to stop them tonight.
