Winning Coach, Rhonda Jensen, Quincy (Notre Dame), “That was some great volleyball tonight. Hats off to Byron; they are a great team and they kept the games tight throughout. We had a tough schedule this year. I told the girls at the beginning of the season to not worry about our record, but to use the games as preparation for the post season. Defense wins games, and I think we played good defense tonight.”
Losing Coach, Diana Schmitt, Byron, “ You have to be extremely pleased with Quincy Notre Dame’s veracity. They were on their defense tonight. My kids gave it all they had, and that is all that I can ask of them. The pressure may have gotten to them a little bit. They were hot early on, but we made a lot unforced errors, and you can’t do that at this stage of the game. Our kids were pretty tense at the end, and I think it may have hurt us down the stretch.”
