Frank Lenti [Chicago (Mt. Carmel)] -- "When the playoffs started, some of their kids made comments that they wanted to play us again. We didn't talk about it much but after we beat (Champaign) Centennial we felt like 'be careful what you wish for'."
"This a great group of kids. We knew it last year when they were juniors. We normally don't look that far down the road but we felt if we got things going we could get to this point."
"Every time we have played in the championship game, we have played tough teams. They've (Providence) only lost three games in five years and two of those losses are to Mt. Carmel. I feel as if that shows what kind of program we have."

Matt Senffner [New Lenox (Providence)] -- "Basically I thought we had a good week of practice. I don't understand it -- we just had a bad game."
"I don't feel that our offense played well, period. They came with a little more blitz this time as opposed to last time (a 21-14 OT loss earlier in season) and they were able to match up with us well when they did so."
"They are fast and unbelievably strong and we just couldn't keep our defense off the field."
"These kids worked hard. We had 40-50 kids showing up in the spring and they really improved athletically."
