"I'm not a genius but I think she (Amanda Clifton) can handle the ball pretty well so I just let her do her thing. We did a good job of setting screens and getting people open all night long. We had the lead and that was the good thing to do, I don't know much, but I do know you have to be ahead to win."

Losing coach: Janelle Spearmon, Chicago (Hope) "Alleman played team basketball. They played unselfishly, which after watching them for these two days was one of their strengths. I almost think they just wanted it more than we did, they kept coming at us, which we anticipated, and their passing game was really one of their strengths in this ballgame."
"We got ourselves into trouble in the first half with the fouls. Four of the starters had three fouls each before the end of the first half, which all but took away our rotation. It made it difficult for us to have a smooth rotation with so many players having to sit."
"We did make a run at them to start the third quarter, and got it cut down to one or two points in that quarter. They got a couple of breaks and opened up enough of a lead that they were able to hold us off."
