``They're going to start calling us the Cardiac Kids, I guess. From the regional on, we've been having to come from behind.
``Chrisman put us in a heck of a hole to start out. They were a little more patient today than we had seen from them. On our end we opened our offense in the second half. We weren't setting good screens and at half-time we told them to make sure they set good screens.
``David Griffiths stepped up and hit some big shots for us. Defensively we put Joe Williams on Brian Martin in the second half.''
Our three seniors Davd (Griffiths), David (Hamma) and Doug (Siegfried) made the big plays for us. The seniors are the one that got us here.''
Losing coach Dave Chandler (Chrisman)
``The kids came out and played really hard and for the most part did everything we asked of them. Nauvoo didn't do anything we didn't expect. It's just basically we didn't handle the ball well enough toward the end of the game.
``In our tournament run we had been doing a good job of executing but toward the end here this afternoon we didn't do that. Consequently we fell a little short. I'm proud of the way these guys played…I couldn't be prouder of them.
``Well we weren't happy with them making the run at the close of the first half. We knew they were going to make a run and we told the kids to be prepared. It wasn't a matter of being critical it was a matter of us being prepared for it and warding it off. Like I said before we didn't do a very good job of handling the ball in certain stretches and that happened to be one of them.
``They were sagging in on Brian (Martin) a little more in the second half like they did in the second quarter. We tried to get the guys to be a little more patient when looking into him. We felt if we looked away they would sag back to their man and we have a chance at getting the ball inside to Brian''
