“(Shawn) Seibert kept his composure even after hitting a few batters. That really made a difference and got us out of the (seventh) inning.”
“I thought we’d have a chance to be in this position. I knew we had the club and the capability to get to this point. Tonight, we’ll probably go with Seibert, and maybe a few other guys. Those guys will be ready tp meet the challenge.”
Losing coach, Todd Parola, Mundelein (H.S.): "Our goal was to come here and play well. I think we are better than what we showed here today. We just didn’t play very good baseball."
“With the bases loaded in the seventh, once (Steve) Lieberman hit off the fence and they’re pitcher was struggling, I thought we were in a pretty good place. We thought about the squeeze, but I thought we’d get some pretty good swings. We just didn’t get it done.”
