Quotes and Notes Winning coach, Greg Bee of Normal (University): "I told Jon Charles that we needed a hit. A coach is supposed to control his emotions. After the homerun I pretty much lost it. Jason Rainey made 2 good catches in the 7th. The key to the game, down 4 I thought we could get another inning out of Todd. Then I decided to put in Jon hoping to change the complection of the game. Both teams were good, and today we had a little luck. We have not come back from being 4 down anytime this year. " Losing coach, Ken Jenkins of Granville (Putnam County): "With 2 outs the hit caught us by surprise. Our defense has been good all year, but they gave up a couple of runs. Tom's hit was to the wrong part of the ballpark. U-High took advantage of their opportunities. It was an honor to be in the Final 4. " |
