Site Proposal Meeting Start Time Changed

There has been a change in the starting time for the meeting of community representatives interested in submitting proposals to host several Illinois High School Association (IHSA) state final events.

The meeting will begin at 10:30 a.m. in the IHSA Office on Wednesday, Sept. 8. Previously, it was announced the meeting would begin at 2:00 p.m. Representatives from facilities and communities throughout Illinois have been invited to attend. At the meeting, IHSA Executive Director Dave Fry will review all aspects of the specifications approved by the IHSA Board of Directors at its August 12 meeting.

The IHSA will be seeking proposals from communities to host its state finals in girls volleyball, boys football, boys individual wrestling, girls basketball and boys basketball. Contracts for all but football expire at the conclusion of the 1999-2000 school term. The football contract concludes with the games of 2000.
