Board Sustains Warsaw Student Ruling
The Board of Directors of the Illinois High School Association (IHSA) Friday (Feb. 26) sustained the Executive Director's decision that a Warsaw High School basketball player is ineligible for noncompliance with IHSA residence by-law 3.031.3.
Meeting in a telephone conference call with representatives of Warsaw High School, the Board heard the appeal and after lengthy discussion, voted to sustain the the Executive Director's decision, which was rendered the previous day (Thursday, Feb. 25).
The Executive Directror's ruled that the student no longer meets the requirements of the IHSA Policy regarding Eligibility of Emancipated Students, causing him to be in noncompliance with the residence by-law.
