IHSA Web Site Outage Report

On Saturday (Nov. 7) at 10:15 a.m., the IHSA Web server experienced a catastrophic failure. IHSA.org was offline until 5:15 p.m. Sunday.

Unfortunately the interruption came during one of our busiest weekends and meant that we could not deliver the results of four different tournaments that were underway Saturday. We were able to post a single page explaining the problem, but apparently many users were unable to see it. The IHSA understands the importance of providing information through its Web site, and apologizes for any inconvenience the outage may have caused, especially to media outlets who have come to depend on our Web service.

We are as disappointed as anyone by this turn of events. The IHSA is taking steps with its Internet service provider to ensure that, in the event of a similar problem in the future, service can be restored immediately.
