WINTER Bracket Drawing, Redux

Changes in the structure of IHSA tournaments this year have necessitated an additional drawing to determine the random pairings at the sectional level of this year's boys and girls basketball tournaments.

In Class 3A and 4A, there are several sectionals outside the 7-county Chicago area that will be seeded at the regional level. At the sectional level, those teams will be paired randomly, according to the following system:

1. The names of the four regional sites will be alphabetized according to standard IHSA naming protocol and numbered from 1 to 4.
2. The first sectional match will be pair the winner of Regional #3 and the winner of Regional #1.
3. The second sectional match will be pair the winner of Regional #4 and and the winner of Regional #2.
