The Ola Bundy Scholarship Committee recently named nine outstanding young women attending Illinois High School Association (IHSA) member schools as recipients of the Ola Bundy Scholarship. The committee was gratified by the 470 young women who applied for this scholarship. After reviewing the applications, the committee is confident that all the applicants have bright futures.
Each scholarship winner will receive between an award between $2,600 and $3,000, pending final donations. Additionally, 50 applicants will receive the book Leaders Who Dare—Pushing Boundaries. This book includes a chapter authored by Ola Bundy that chronicles her pioneering efforts to launch the girls’ interscholastic program in Illinois.
Donations are still being accepted and are tax-deductible. For more information, see the Ola Bundy Scholarship Web site.
