The 2005 National High School Activities nears the end with Fan Appreciation Day, a time to thank the spectators and volunteers who support activity programs throughout the school year.
Did you know?
Attending most high school events costs less than lunch at your favorite fast food restaurant. In fact, often times during the regular season there is no admission cost to high school activities like baseball, softball, track, scholastic bowl, speech events, and others.
There’s at least one place in every community in Illinois, one place where neighbors still gather and civic pride flourishes.
One endless source of community pride and inspiration.
One night where history is made, and the nation's future suddenly seems brighter than ever.
There’s at least one high school serving every community in Illinois, and if your not there in the stands, then you’re the one that’s missing out.
Because there’s something special about high school sports and activities.
It’s part of every hometown in Illinois, and part of our states rich culture and strong tradition. But it takes the support of the entire community to make it happen...
So Join the Fun... Be A Fan... Support the high school activities in your community.
Fans can motivate, fans can inspire, and the best fans can teach. The best fans are the ones who applaud great effort from all participants, the greatest fans appreciate the coaches and sponsors, and the most valued fans respect competition officials. Today we say THANK YOU to those Fans. The young men and women that participate in IHSA interscholastic activities appreciate you.
Take some time today to thank the parents, aunts & uncles, grandparents, neighbors, classmates, and others that are true fans of high school activities. The fans that understand and appreciate what high school activities are all about.
