The IHSA Internet Network begins its second year of IHSA State Championship event coverage next weekend when it carries the 2004 IHSA State Football Finals in Champaign.
The network, which is a collaborative effort of the IHSA and AmeriSports Media of Arlington Heights, IL, will carry all eight state championship football games beginning Friday, November 26 at 9:50 a.m.. All games will be webcast on the IHSA web site at www.IHSA.org. In addition, games will also be archived on the IHSA site.
Calling the action at Memorial Stadium will be Jim Taylor of WRMJ-FM in Aledo and Tom Wuestenfeld.
The IHSA Internet Network began operations in 2003, and in the first year of webcasting IHSA events, network webcasts have been heard by more than 81,000 listeners.
IHSA and AmeriSports Media will also broadcast all eight games of each of the four state basketball tournaments held in February and March.
