The Illinois High School Association (IHSA) Board of Directors, in a special hearing held today (Oct. 18) at the Illinois Principals Association Conference in Springfield, sustained the Executive Director's ruling that Taylor Ridge (Rockridge) must forfeit its Sept. 24 football victory over Knoxville.
Executive Director Dr. Martin Hickman had previously found that Rockridge failed to enforce the provisions of IHSA By-law 6.011, which requires a player who is ejected from a game to sit out the next contest at the same level of competition.
Counting the forfeit, Rockridge's won-lost record after eight weeks of play is 3-5. Knoxville is 6-2.
