As of June 6, 2002, there are 760 IHSA member schools with the following classifications for the 2002-03 school term: 462 Class A, 298 Class AA.
Cut-off for 2002-03:
752 and below = Class A
753 and above = Class AA
Cut-off for Boys Soccer Classification for 2002-03:
1243 and below = Class A
1244 and above = Class AA
Cut-off for Girls Soccer Classification for 2002-03:
1360 and below = Class A
1361 and above = Class AA
The following schools will change classes:
From Class A up to Class AA: Evergreen Park and Yorkville.
From Class AA down to Class A: 20 Chicago Public League schools, pursuant to the recent change in classification policy: Agricultural Science, Best Practice, Brooks College Prep, Chicago International Charter, Chicago Military (Bronzeville), Dyett, Flower Vocational, Hancock, Harlan, Hirsch, Hope, Jones, King, Lindblom, Manley, Noble Street Charter, Perspectives Charter, Phillips, Richards and Spalding.
There are two variance schools for 2002-03 classification. They are (with the schools involved):
Kewanee (H.S.) -- Annawan, Galva, Geneseo (Darnall), Kewanee
(Wethersfield), and Toulon (Stark County)
Princeton -- Manlius (Bureau Valley), and Spring Valley (Hall)
