Spring Bracket Drawing to be held March 26

The blind drawing that determines the state final pairings in bracketed team sports (excluding Boys Volleyball) will be held at the IHSA Office on Tuesday, March 26, 2002, starting at approximately 10 a.m. This drawing will cover Girls Soccer, Boys Baseball and Girls Softball.

A member of the media will be on hand to draw the peas. 

Traditionally, the pairings are made by ordering the 8 sites that feed into the quarterfinals in alphabetical order and numbering them from 1 to 8. Then 8 numbered peas are drawn from a bottle. The number on the first pea drawn represents the site whose winner will occupy the first position on the quarterfinal bracket, and so on.

The results of the bracket drawing will be updated LIVE on the IHSA website as each sport is drawn.
