1. ELIGIBILITY: Points may be earned, and funds received, only by eligible Illinois high schools that are members of the Illinois High School Association, (IHSA) ("Schools"). At home learning centers and other educational institutions are not eligible. Any school submitting labels pursuant to this program will automatically receive an entry into the Kraft and The Bears Cash for High Schools Sweepstakes. To obtain complete details and alternative methods of entry into the sweepstakes, see the "KRAFT UPCS for Cash" Official Rules, available by logging on to www.ihsa.org. In order to participate, an administrative representative from the school must complete and return a postcard, which indicates the schools interest. Postcards will be mailed to schools on or about August 17, 2001 and must be received no later than September 1, 2001. Schools that do not return postcard by September 1, 2001 will be ineligible to participate in the "KRAFT UPCs for Cash" program.
2. HOW TO COLLECT LABELS: Carefully remove the proof-of-purchase (the UPC symbol) from any participating product (as defined in Rule 3). Each UPC Symbol will count as one point. For Maxwell House and Yuban coffee, the proof-of-purchase shall be deemed an original cash register receipt with the purchase price circled.
3. PARTICIPATING PRODUCTS: Except as noted, any product manufactured by Kraft Foods North America, Inc. and its various subsidiaries and divisions, including, but not limited to the following: Kraft, Nabisco, Oscar Mayer, Tombstone Pizza, Jack's Pizza, DiGiorno, Post, Maxwell House, Jell-O, Capri Sun, Planters, Taco Bell Home Originals and Kool-Aid.
4. HOW TO SUBMIT LABELS: High School students should submit labels at the receptacle provided at their school for the "Kraft Cash for UPCs" program. A designated school representative should bundle labels in groups of 25 points and include designated administrators name, school name and address in the provided pre-addressed, postage paid envelopes to: P.O. Box 5518; Maple Plain, MN. 55593-5518. Envelopes will be provided to participating schools from the IHSA. Envelopes should be mailed and received no later than October 26, 2001.
5. DEADLINE: All label submissions must be received by October 26, 2001.
6. POINTS/REDEMPTION. A check will be sent to each School, depending upon the number of participating schools with eligible submissions. In order to qualify for the redemption or check, a school must submit two UPCs or proofs of purchase per student enrolled as of the first day of school, 2001. Total award to each school depends upon total number of eligible, qualifying schools participating.
7. GENERAL: "Mint condition" labels, and proofs-of-purchase that were not obtained legitimately or through normal distribution channels are void. Kraft or its agent will make such determination in its sole discretion. By submitting labels/proofs-of-purchase, School and any individual submitting labels on School's behalf, agree to be bound by the Rules and the decisions of Kraft. All submissions become the property of Kraft. Kraft is not responsible for lost, late, stolen or misdirected mail. Void where prohibited by law or School district policy. Requests must be forwarded in an envelope with sufficient first class postage. Fraudulent submissions could result in federal prosecution under the U.S. Mail Fraud Statutes (18 United States Code, Sections 1341 and 1342).
