A press conference is scheduled for 3:00 p.m. in the Illinois High School Association (IHSA) Office Tuesday, May 2, 2000. At that time IHSA Executive Director Dave Fry will report the action taken earlier in the day by the Board of Directors regarding proposals to host several state final events and other matters, including changes approved for the fall sport state series Terms and Conditions.
The Board will act on proposals submitted by communities and organizations to host the state finals for the next five years in boys football, boys individual wrestling, girls basketball and boys basketball. Proposals were received from Champaign-Urbana and DeKalb to host football; from Champaign-Urbana and Peoria to host boys individual wrestling; from Bloomington-Normal and Peoria to host girls basketball; and from Champaign-Urbana and Peoria to host boys basketballl.
