"I'm pretty proud of this team. We're always trying to break into the winning column. Year by year, we're getting better. It's still a long way to get to real state calibre. Playing against Mundelein was like playing against a bunch of trees. We haven't played against that much height. As soon as we had somewhat of a run in the first game, we knew we could hang in there the second game."
Stephanie Metzger, "I thought we could compete. I thought we did pretty well. We've been getting a lot of bad press lately (saying Lane didn't belong here). The people who aren't in it (the Elite 8) lost. That's the bottom line. We won. We worked twice as hard to get here."
