Winning coach: Mike Mulligan, Bradley (Bradley-Bourbonnais) - ``We came out and hit the ball hard and put people on base. I hope we can keep that up tonight.''

``Wade (Greenlee) did a whale of a job again today. It's unbelievable that he has won 17 games this season. It's quite an accomplishment for anyone. He's the best and I'd take him over any other pitcher in the state and that includes those here at the state tournament.''

``We've tried to keep things an even keel. We don't want to up; we're just trying to maintain a solid, even level of focus. If something happens these kids pick each other up. They believe in each other, trust each other. That's the way it has been all season. It's one of the reasons we are playing tonight.''

``It was good for us to get out quickly. Their kid (Eric Fussell) is a good thrower, and it was huge for us to get off to a good start. At this level you can't afford not to be on top of the game otherwise it could come back and bite you.''

Starting pitcher Wade Greenlee - ``The main thing I try to do is keep my poise and not get frustrated. It helps me stay in the game and helps stay focused.''

``We have a lot of respect for (Eric Fussell) and when we started to hit the ball it as kind of surprising. To get three runs ahead was huge.

``I plan to attend West Point this fall and play football. Of course the decision was made before we went on the 17-2 which helped get us to the state tournament.''


Losing coach: Joel Jonas, Chicago (Marist) - ``Bradley is one heckuva team. They came out strong and intimidated us with their bats. We just didn't hit their pitcher very well, didn't swing the bats when we had to. An important part of our game is bunting, but you don't beat a team like this by bunting."

"I'm really proud of our guys. They have a lot of heart, and are one of the best groups I've ever had. I didn't pull (Eric Fussell) because he deserved to be in there for what he's done for us all year."
