The Illinois High School Association’s Journalism State Series celebrated its 10th anniversary on Friday, May 1, 2015 when the 2015 State Final tournament was contested on the Eastern Illinois University campus in Charleston.

Several individuals have been involved with the tournament for each of the 10 years, including seven judges. Six of the seven judges took a brief reprieve from judging student work on Saturday afternoon to pose for the photo above after being recognized by the IHSA with special certificates. They are from left to right: Troy Taylor, Tony Mancuso, Lola Burnham, Shannon Davis, Beth Heldebrandt and Liz Viall. Eastern Illinois University Journalism Professor Brian Poulter, who accompanies and then judges students in the Photography category during the day, is the seventh member of that group and was recognized during the day's opening session.
